My Shaving Routine & Go To Products

Shaving is the bane of my existence. It takes forever and bad things can happen. (You know what I mean, ladies.) So I'm going to share my shaving routine because I think it's important that we make shaving a little less shitty for ourselves.

Shaving Routine

Shaving Routine by tinypockets featuring H&M

Above are the products I use in my shaving routine (or as close to them as aI could find on Polyvore.)

I LOVE the Bic Soleil razors. They are the best disposable razors I have ever used and there is almost always a coupon for them floating around somewhere, making them relatively inexpensive. It's pretty much a win/win. I'm never going back to those shitty like "daisy" razors again. No thanks, world.

Instead of shaving cream or gel, I use conditioner. Specifically, Suave conditioner. (I like the coconut scented kind but there are TONS of different fragrances and the big "family size" bottles are like $1.50 or so.) You cannot beat the price. Granted, I would NEVER put Suave anywhere near my head but I love using conditioner on my legs (and lady bits) for shaving. It makes the razor slide over the skin effortlessly and doesn't wash away as fast as the shaving gels do. And it's cheaper. You cannot argue with that. Smooth legs for a cheaper price. Done.

I follow up shaving my bikini area with Witch Hazel. It's a natural astringent so it helps combat bacteria, which is the cause of the very evil RAZOR BURN. I still get the dreaded bikini bumps sometimes but adding this to my routine has helped immensely. Witch Hazel is also super cheap so it's worth adding to your routine. (I've heard that using clear deodorant on the bikini line can combat the friction based razor burn we can get down there. I just always forget to pick up a stick to try it out... ONE DAY I WILL REMEMBER!)

I finish up by rubbing down my smooth legs with C. Booth's Honey Almond Body Butter. (It was not on Polyvore so I substituted for the purposes of my graphic.)

I love the C. Booth body butter. It's $6 for the huge tub at Ulta and is super thick, creamy, and moisturizing. I bought it last winter because I had really dry skin and within a few days, my skin was back to its normal self. I swear by it now. Plus, it smells amazing and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy like some other body butters can.

What do you use in your shaving routine? Is there something you swear by that I should add to mine?
